 INTRODUCTION

Passenger elevators fall into two main categories: elevators connected to a building, which are covered by article and the mobile elevators discussed in this article.

These are machines used to move people through space to a working position at heights ranging from a few meters to several dozen meters.

The work cab is referred to either as a work platform or a work basket, the latter term being most often used for workstations designed for a single operator.

Platform lifts first appeared in 1970, and expanded from 1980 onwards thanks to the growth of the rental system.

They are used either for maintenance work inside or outside buildings, or outdoors for power line installation, pruning, building construction or unloading aircraft, for example.
