4. Interface management

4.1 Locker interfaces

FEM (Fédération Européenne de la Manutention) standards have defined the racking interfaces – stacker cranes. Racking can be of two types:

  • open front: the load rests on angle irons ;

  • closed front: the load rests on a rail.

The standards not only define construction tolerances, but also the minimum distances to be respected: load distance – column, beam deflection, etc. (see "For more information"). ).
