7. Quality assurance

All the procedures and specifications implemented in project management contribute to achieving quality throughout the project. Readers are referred to the specific articles on quality in this treatise.

The main purpose of this section is to define the quality assurance requirements for industrial products. As a general rule, these contractually stipulated requirements apply to all products, services and tasks that arise during the course of project development.

In this context, the supplier must define the measures he intends to take to meet Quality Assurance requirements in a Quality Assurance Plan(*) and submit it to the customer.
