INTRODUCTION
Packaging is one of the biggest user markets for glues and adhesives, since most packing and packaging operations involve gluing, whether to manufacture primary packaging materials (corrugated board, boxes, cases, bags, envelopes, adhesive tapes, etc.), or to close and label packaging and packages, and then to group, bundle, bundle (i.e. to form a small bundle by wrapping several objects with adhesive tape), label, etc.
To help industrialists, packaging manufacturers and companies using – packaging in all industries, not only food but also FMCG and others –, we will review a number of gluing applications, describing the techniques and machines used, indicating line speeds and requirements, and describing the adhesives and glues used, and their performance.
