6. Conclusion
As we have just seen, the strapping technique is part of industrial logistics, fulfilling the function of transporting, handling, storing and distributing products, with or without direct protective packaging. For this reason, it fits well within the definition of transport and handling packaging, the subject of this section. But strapping is much more than that, and its new applications in shrink-wrapping small packaging units to enable them to be gripped and stacked during palletization, demonstrate the value of its function when it comes to grouping and holding.
For these reasons, we can say today that strapping remains a process of the future.
