In conclusion, we can see that the maintenance function is governed by a number of texts, either mandatory (regulations) or in the form of simple recommendations (standards and associated documents). We can also see that these texts are evolving almost constantly, and that new texts are in gestation on new subjects, to better meet the needs of the profession. The diversity of these texts, their complexity at times, but above all their richness, must be exploited to the full by those involved in the Maintenance function. In any organization that has set up a Maintenance function, it is therefore essential that a "standards and regulations watch" function be set up, either in-house, or by calling in specialized external service providers.
