2. The Role of Preventive Maintenance in Maintenance

2.1 Scheduled Maintenance

Preventive maintenance is an essential component of maintenance, as defined in the NF EN 13306 standard, and refers to all technical, administrative, and managerial actions carried out during the life cycle of an asset, intended to maintain or restore it to a condition in which it can perform the required function. The terms used in this article refer to those established by the NF EN 13306 standard.
