7. Bonding of EPS

The most important method of fixing EPS is with adhesive.

The best results are obtained with the right adhesive selection. This requires structural knowledge of the model, the part and the location where the operation is to take place (specifications).

7.1 Assembly

Joining materials with adhesive

An adhesive is a non-metallic substance capable of joining materials by bonding (adhesion) and attraction by the molecular forces of the adhesive (cohesion) without fundamentally altering the structure of the materials (figure 30 ).
