2.1.1 Screw manufacture

Screws undergo several machining operations from the raw material bar. The first operation consists of turning the bar to obtain a bar slightly larger (1 mm) than the final diameter of the screw. In the second operation, this bar is then placed on a milling machine to machine the screw channels. This milling machine may be an end mill or a trimming machine.
