9. Finishing operations

9.1 Cutting & Punching

Once the dimensions have been stabilized, the finishing operations are carried out. The different types of cutting and machining are shown in figure 52 . These operations are carried out by specialized machines, generally specific to the product. These may take the form of :

  • simple workstation, grouping together a limited number of operations (maximum 5);

  • also known as a machining center;

  • robotized line.
