Gel Permeation Chromatography – Size Exclusion Chromatography (GPC-SEC)
Measurement method for measuring the macromolecular distribution of a PE-HD grade.
MFR (Melt Flow Ratio)
Melt flow index (MFI) gives an idea of the viscosity of the PE-HD grade and, indirectly, of its processability. The MFR is widely used by industry, due to its low cost and speed, but gives only a partial view of PE-HD rheology. For a complete view, a dynamic viscometric analysis is required, which is much more comprehensive, but more time-consuming and costly to perform.
