8. Documents related to the directive
A distinction must be made between the documents that the supplier must give to the future user and the documents issued by the notified body if the latter has been involved in the conformity assessment.
In all cases, a copy of these documents must be kept by the manufacturer or his authorized representative for a period of ten years from the last date of manufacture of the device, protection system or component.
