8. Conclusions

This article and the [SE 5 086] article have shown that there are many types of hazardous phenomena in a flammable liquids depot, and that most of these phenomena are linked together in the accident sequence.

Due to the flammable nature of the products stored, the "classic" phenomena of fire and explosion are present. But there are also dangerous phenomena that are rarely observed in other types of facilities. These include wave spreading, tank explosion, pressurization, boil-over and thin-film boil-over.
