3. How to identify CMR chemical agents?

If you wish to identify the potential presence of CMR agents in a given workstation, you will need to consult the FARs (Fiches d'Aide au Repérage) drawn up by INRS.

If you have identified hazardous chemical agents and wish to check whether they are classified as CMR, you will need to :

  • consult the ED 976 guide available on the INRS website; products are listed in alphabetical order by CAS number and/or INDEX number;

  • consult chemical product labels and SDSs. Classifications also appear on product labels and SDSs (section 2).
