3. How do I notify directly online?

Direct online notification is extremely useful in the following situations:

  • You have few substances to notify at the same time, on the order of 20-30.

  • You have little knowledge of the composition of the substances you need to notify: you import a mixture (e.g. paint) and only have information on the constituents (no impurity profile).

  • If you have no in-depth knowledge of the substance classification process, you should refer to the harmonized classifications in Annex VI of the CLP Regulation (see Search for substances with a harmonized classification using the search engine on the ex-ECB website
