1. How do you know if you need to notify?
You must notify when :
You manufacture or import a substance subject to registration under REACh, whether already registered or not. The substance may be on its own, in a mixture or in an article with an intended release.
You manufacture or import a substance not subject to REACh, but classified as dangerous under the CLP Regulation, regardless of the quantity involved. As before, the substance may be on its own or in a mixture. It is important to note that the obligation to notify also applies to polymers, which are otherwise exempt from registration under REACh.
This inventory or notification process must be carried out by the entity legally making the substance available to a third party, with no minimum tonnage.
