5. How and why should you update your data sheets?

You are required to update the file periodically, in accordance with the French Labor Code. By law, employees and, in the event of their death, their heirs, have the right to access and rectify any information contained in the file. The contents of the file may therefore have important legal consequences, and you may be held liable.

In addition, failure to update is a punishable offence under Article R. 4741-1-1 of Code du travail . The contravention applies as many times as there are workers concerned.

To update the file, please take the following into account:
