7. What labelling is required?

In addition to occupational health and safety labelling (REACH and CLP regulations), the ADR prescribes a number of mandatory labels and markings.

7.1 UN number

Each "IBC" or "ESPT" must bear the UN number of the substance being transported, preceded by the letters "UN". For IBCs with a capacity of over 450 l, this mark must be displayed on two opposite sides.
