2.1 Propaniers or distribution companies

Among the key players in LPG transport, we should mention first and foremost the distribution companies. This term refers to companies supplying LPG to customers.

In France, the main propane producers or distributors are (in alphabetical order):

• Antargaz ;

• Butagaz ;

• Primagaz;

• Totalgaz ;

• Vitogaz.

The propaniers are the principals of LPG transport, although in practice they do not manage the entire transport chain. In particular, they define the point of departure and arrival of the LPG.
