 INTRODUCTION

Procedures for monitoring chemical substances in the workplace underwent a major transformation with the publication of décret n° 2009-1570 du 15 décembre 2009 , which radically changed this part of the French Labor Code.

The decree of the same day, an operational tool completing the decree, now constitutes the reference for the services of the obligatorily accredited organizations to which you will be entrusting these measurements. This concerns the chemical agents listed in articles R. 4412-149 and R. 4412-150 of the Code du travail (see Determining which products to measure in ambient air [FIC 0108] ).

The measurement of other substances does not fall within the scope of this text; their evaluation may be the subject of a less formal protocol, with the aim of guiding your risk assessment. Other organizations can help you with this.
