4. Industrial production of isolated polysaccharide

At the laboratory stage, the polysaccharide-producing bacteria synthesize it spontaneously on Petri dishes. However, it is possible to optimize production by integrating the strain into an industrial manufacturing process.

It is divided into two distinct phases:

  • fermentation in sterile conditions, where polymer synthesis takes place;

  • purification to obtain a powder.
