5. Refractory electrode welding (TIG)

5.1 Process description

Refractory electrode welding is commonly known as TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding. In English-speaking countries, it is also known as GTAW or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding. In France, it is often referred to as argon welding.
