4. Preparation
4.1 Cleaning the installation
Cleaning and disinfecting the tank and circuits is important. It prevents contamination problems and the use of additives. In other words, thorough cleaning will prevent the cutting fluid from deteriorating and avoid the risk of bacterial contamination.
The sequence of cleaning operations is as follows:
Add a detergent solution: disinfect the system with detergent (diluted to 2% as bactericides are increasingly banned by HSE departments) added to the bath 24 to 48 hours before draining.
Circulate: the bath thus created must be constantly agitated (production and/or sprinkler circuit in continuous operation).
