1.1 In the sash manufacturing process
Flat crimping (hemming) is a method of joining two metal components previously shaped by stamping. by folding the edge of the outer sheet (or skin) over the inner panel (or lining). Figure 1 is a general view of the body-in-white of the Peugeot 307 vehicle, and shows the various opening panels in assembled and exploded view: the hood (A), the flap (B) and the doors (C).
