AEOS; Association + Equation of State

Equation of state that combines a cubic equation of state for the non-associative part and a chemical contribution due to the association between molecules.

SAFT; Statistical Associating Fluid Theory

Model developed by G. Jackson et al. from Wertheim's associative theory, and expressed in terms of Helmholtz energy as the sum of different contributions. Each contribution corresponds to the description of interactions of different kinds: dispersion force, dipole-dipole, hydrogen bonding. Each attractive term is based on a perturbation theory.

CPA; Cubic Plus Association

Equation of state that combines a cubic equation of state and the associative part of the SAFT model. This model is widely used in the gas industry.
