4. A wide range of technical solutions

Cleanroom experts with expertise in energy consumption have identified a number of avenues to explore, although not all of them will be feasible or possible, either because of investment costs, or because they are prohibited by industry regulations or incompatible with the manufacturing process, or because they are technically impossible to implement in the site's infrastructure and context.

The following avenues should be explored, bearing in mind that ventilation and air treatment are generally the most important issues in a cleanroom:
