5.1 Consequences of undersizing

There are various consequences of undersizing, or at least of incorrectly phasing an exchanger project as described above, within the framework of a complete installation. Problems can arise from, but are not limited to:

• poorly defined specifications;

• a poor choice of technology;

• selection of an incorrect dimensioning point;

• poor sizing itself;

• manufacturing or installation defects;
