RRI/SEC coupled circuits; thermal management circuits for nuclear safety systems

The intermediate refrigeration circuit (RRI) and the secondary raw water circuit (SEC) are coupled via heat exchangers and provide thermal management and cooling for a number of safety-related equipment in the nuclear containment.

RCV circuit; chemical and volume control system

The volumetric and chemical control circuit – or RCV circuit – corresponds to the fluidic circuit specifically dedicated to controlling and adjusting the volume of water/steam in the primary circuit, its boron concentration and its corrosive species content by adding appropriate chemical components.
