3. Seek ways to finance the work

The two sources available to all companies for financing this type of project are government subsidies and equity capital. The first type of subsidy may come from EECs (energy efficiency certificates, see Evaluating the financial return on energy efficiency certificates (EECs) [FIC 1774] ). The second source may come from ADEME covering part of the expenses. However, it is possible to negotiate additional public aid, which is generally allocated on a case-by-case basis by the regions.
