2. Choosing the right recovery technology for your processes
The selection criteria for recuperator technologies are many and varied. It is important to identify :
firstly, the states of the fluids likely to pass through the recuperators; three possibilities are offered to the engineer (gas-to-gas recuperator, liquid-to-liquid recuperator, gas-to-liquid recuperator); the figures "Atmospheric-pressure gas/gas recuperators", "Liquid-to-liquid or high-pressure gas/gas recuperators" and "Atmospheric-pressure gas/liquid recuperators" illustrate the technologies available for each configuration;
secondly, nominal and maximum operating pressures and temperatures;
thirdly, the expected thermal output ;
fourthly, their corrosion and fouling resistance, and their suitability for cleaning and technical inspection;...
