5. Recovering and utilizing waste heat

Waste heat, generated during industrial processes, is often underutilized. By installing appropriate equipment, this heat can be reused to meet other energy needs within the plant. An estimated one-third of the energy consumed by the industrial sector is lost as waste heat. At a time of soaring prices and threats to supply, it is impossible to ignore this potential for energy savings.
