1. How do you go about designing the hydrogen infrastructure, estimating the budget and planning the installation?

The design of hydrogen stations requires the customer to recruit engineers experienced in hydrogen station design, or to call on the services of a design office qualified in hydrogen project engineering.

Designing and planning the installation of hydrogen infrastructures requires several phases in the following chronological order:

• identify the quantity of hydrogen to be produced, distributed and/or stored on site, depending on the energy source (electricity, heat, biomass, etc.) and requirements ;

• create the PID (pipe instrumentation diagram) of the plant in 2D and 3D using software such as Autocad and SolidWorks, while incorporating safety aspects into the plant design;
