5. Acceptance of work
This is the final stage in the renovation process, and is of the utmost importance. A meticulous visit with all the trades and a detailed inventory of fixtures must precede the phase of accepting or rejecting the work. In the event of a dispute, any reservations must be recorded on the acceptance report. Instructions for use and/or operation of new equipment must be obtained. In the case of a maintenance contract, a copy of the contract must be obtained.
