4. Present and future uses of hydrogen in the refrigeration industry

The essential role played by refrigeration and its various applications in our day-to-day needs for food, health, well-being, air conditioning, high technology, communication and connectivity is well established...

The "invisible" but essential refrigeration industry, which consumes almost 20% of the world's electricity, will certainly welcome the use of hydrogen as a vector and/or source of energy, and thus contribute to its development in a sustainable and efficient way.

In what follows, we distinguish between refrigeration applications that have developed, are developing or will develop thanks to hydrogen, and refrigeration techniques that will help hydrogen deployment today and tomorrow.
