4.1 CEN/TC 182 "Refrigeration systems – Safety and environmental requirements".

The existence of CEN/TC 182 is closely linked to current regulations on protecting the ozone layer and combating the greenhouse effect. Political awareness of environmental aspects and energy consumption has led to the introduction of extensive legislation affecting the refrigeration and air-conditioning markets.
