5. Conclusion

Determining the strength of young concrete is fundamental to ensuring the quality and durability of concrete structures. Temperature plays a crucial role in the development of concrete's mechanical properties. High temperatures can accelerate strength gain, but they can also reduce ultimate strength. Conversely, low temperatures delay the development of compressive strength, which must be taken into account when designing and constructing concrete structures.

There are various techniques for measuring the strength of in-situ concrete, including destructive and non-destructive testing. Destructive tests, although accurate, require the destruction of concrete samples, which may not always be practical. Non-destructive tests, such as maturometry, offer a valuable alternative by allowing continuous, real-time assessment of concrete strength without damaging the structure....
