Tensile stress calculations with rigid plate

Eurocode 2 states in paragraph 6.2.1(1)a) that the fastener must be sufficiently rigid for a linear deformation distribution to be valid (analogy with Bernoulli's hypothesis).

Furthermore, Eurocode 2 states in paragraph 6.2.1(2) that this assumption can be considered satisfied if the plate remains in the elastic range under the effect of the loads and if its deformations remain negligible compared to the axial displacements of the anchor rods. If this deformation requirement is not met, the elastic deformations of the fastener must be adequately taken into account when determining the value of the tensile forces in the anchor rods.
