2. Classification of mixed assemblies

As with steel joints, composite joints can be classified according to their strength and torsional rigidity (see section 8.2.3 of the EN 1994-1-1 ).

This classification, combined with a particular choice of overall framework analysis, enables us to define a type of assembly model (articulated, semi-continuous, continuous) for this analysis, as explained further in § 2.3 .
