Overview

ABSTRACT

A large number of phenomena induced by the migration of water vapor into the mass have been observed in construction works. On the basis of the specific case of a concrete shell, the aim of this article is to solve the difficult and delicate problems of superficial and internal condensation. Using the Glaser diagram method, the approach is based on hygrothermal conditions, the period of the year and the assistance of calculation notes. The theory of the potential effects of thermal shocks is extensively detailed. This exhaustive hygrothermal study provides the set of values that can cause disorders.

 INTRODUCTION

After recalling the basic principles of the condensation phenomenon in the [C 7 130] file, the specific case of a concrete wall will be addressed in this file in order to carry out a complete hygrothermal study.

Note: a table listing the symbols used for items [C 7 130][C 7 132] and [C 7 134] can be found at the end of [C 7 130] .
