  • 1 The structure affected by the accident is quite original this time, as it is an underground sports field built at a depth of 30 m using a circular reinforced concrete wall with a 15 m radius (figure 29 ).

    The evolution floor was a simple reinforced concrete slab resting without any particular precautions on the clay soil.

    After a while, we noticed that the paving was gradually lifting.

    With the water table at around halfway up the wall (i.e. at around -15 m), the saturated clay soil on which the slab rests tended to flow back into the cylinder like a paste under high pressure, mainly due to the significant difference...
