9. Recommendation T2-2000 concerning waste disposal

9.1 Purpose of the recommendation

Recommendation No. T2-2000 addressed to public project owners concerns the management of construction site waste.

This was prepared by the GPEMP (Permanent Public Procurement Study Group) "Works and Project Management" section and adopted on June 22, 2000 by the technical section of the Central Procurement Commission.

The purpose of this recommendation is to provide project owners with the means to promote the adaptation of building practices to waste regulations, particularly with regard to the need for recovery.

It should be noted that construction work generates production:

  • of inert waste (rubble) representing 66% of all waste;...
