3. Occupancy obligations

  • Builder and operator liability

    Builders and installers are each responsible for ensuring that installations and equipment are built in compliance with regulatory provisions, and in particular that the fire behavior of building materials and components meets the conditions set out in these specifications.

    Inspection by the authorities or the Commission consultative départementale de sécurité et d'accessibilité does not relieve builders and installers of their personal responsibilities.

  • Owner's liability

    Owners shall maintain and service the installations in accordance with the provisions of these specifications:

    • during construction and refurbishment work, to verification by a body approved...
