With the exception of installations strictly necessary for the operation of air navigation services (e.g. UPS chargers), control towers do not contain installations classified in the nomenclature relating to Installations Classified for Environmental Protection (Installations Classées pour la Protection de l'Environnement), when the classification results from the fire and explosion hazards they represent.

It is therefore forbidden to store or handle particularly flammable liquids or flammable liquids in 1 re category.
