5. Calculation elements for feeder pipes

5.1 Indoor networks

It's worth remembering that the concept of feeder pipes has, for the sake of simplicity, been reserved for indoor networks.

In the case of water distribution to a building or establishment, and depending on the operating characteristics, the pipes are determined according to the following steps:

  • determining needs,

  • definition of basic flow rates,

  • instantaneous flow calculation,

  • calculation of simultaneity coefficients,

  • calculation of probable flows,

  • determination of diameters according to pressure drop and speed,
