INTRODUCTION
This article describes the different types of partitions and ceilings used in individual and collective housing.
Partition walls separate rooms with different roles and therefore different requirements: dry rooms (bedrooms, living room), wet rooms (kitchen, bathroom, toilet) and hot or cold rooms (cellar, garage, laundry room).
For each solution, we provide general information, a description of the materials used and details of how to install them.
We don't give details of resistance, fire safety, acoustics or thermal performance. You will find this information, which changes regularly, on the websites of the manufacturers mentioned and specified in the Avis techniques and DTUs, which are updated regularly.
