Overview
ABSTRACT
This article presents the aging of Li-ion batteries dedicated to automotive applications (i.e., performance decay over time/usage). Degradation phenomena are detailed based on their physical description, and automotive-specific battery usage are listed. The main types of performance and aging battery models that are developed in the context of electric and hybrid vehicles are presented. The multiple procedures and norms relevant to their implementation are documented as well.
