Future CAD trends

In a competitive environment where it is necessary to design, in the shortest possible time, a device that performs a given function in a precise environment, while complying with various constraints, the digital part of the CAD process is becoming increasingly important. As previously mentioned, the need for the most accurate performance prediction possible between the Final Virtual Prototype and the real prototype is such that research is moving towards the integration of manufacturing processes, and their effects on the device, into the design process, in order to achieve potential control of virtually all design parameters. The trend, therefore, is undoubtedly towards greater digitalization of the CAD process.
