The design of EMC equipment is a complex task, as it requires both a great deal of foresight and extensive interaction with several stakeholders and disciplines.

First, let's discuss anticipation. EMC can have a significant impact on product design.

The necessary filtering, for example for a power electronics application, can typically represent up to 30% of the required volume of a product.
