External influences

External high-voltage influences include all non-electrical conditions that can affect electrical installations.

Earth connection

Conductive part, which can be embedded in the ground or in a particular conductive medium, e.g. concrete, in contact with the earth.

Protective conductor (PE)

A conductor prescribed in certain protective measures against electric shock and designed to electrically connect certain following parts:

  • masses ;

  • conductive elements ;

  • main earth terminal ;

  • earthing ;

  • earthed supply point or artificial neutral point.
