8. Reinforcement kits

The reinforcement kit is used to increase the overall mechanical strength of the support by replacing existing structural elements with more efficient ones, or by adding new elements to them.

It is used in situations such as :

  • compensate for structural weaknesses resulting from inadequate sizing detected after design;

  • make the existing support even more robust, by going beyond the recommendations set by the standards used for design calculations (i.e. exceeding the initial mechanical performance of the support).

The kit is a set of reinforcements, the main types of which are described below.
